Data Deletion

Effective date: July 21, 2026

This page explains every way to have your data deleted from Echo — whether you are a customer, a user who connected a platform account, or an individual whose public information appears in our systems.

1. Deleting Your Echo Account

You can delete your account and associated data two ways: in the app, via your account settings (we send a confirmation email; once you confirm, deletion proceeds automatically), or by emailing legal@echoio.ai from the email address on your account.

Deletion covers your profile, conversations and agent memory, uploaded documents, and workspace content you own, along with the credentials for any accounts you connected. We delete data from active systems without undue delay after a verified request (typically within 30 days); residual copies in backups are overwritten in the ordinary course of our backup cycle. We may retain limited records where the law requires it (for example, billing and tax records) or to enforce our agreements — retained only for those purposes.

2. Data From Connected Platform Accounts

If you connected a third-party account (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Google/YouTube, Gmail, Slack, or others), you can end our access at any time by:

  • Disconnecting the integration inside Echo.
  • Revoking Echo's access from the platform's own security or app settings.
  • Deleting your Echo account (see above).

In each case we delete the stored tokens, stop all collection for that account, and delete the platform data associated with the connection in accordance with the platform's requirements and our Privacy Policy.

3. Facebook & Instagram (Meta) Users

Echo implements Meta's data-deletion and deauthorize callbacks. In your Facebook settings, open Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, find Echo, and remove it — or use Facebook's "Send Request" data-deletion option. Meta notifies Echo automatically, which triggers deletion of the authorization grants tied to your connection: access tokens, Meta user identifiers, and account references, and revokes Echo's access with Meta.

The flow returns a confirmation code and a status URL you can use to verify that the deletion completed. You can also request deletion directly any time at legal@echoio.ai.

4. Individuals Who Do Not Use Echo

If you are a creator, brand representative, or other individual who does not use Echo but believes your public information appears in our systems, you can request erasure by emailing legal@echoio.ai with links to the relevant public profiles so we can locate the records. We will delete the data and suppress your information from further processing. Details are in our Public Data Notice at echoio.ai/public-data-notice.
